It Has Come To This : it is going to get worse......
I have no photographs to accompany this post. I do not think an image could express what I want to say. The last part of my holiday weekend involved a gathering of people I have known and one individual I met. I know their political leanings and most of them know mine. They called Obama Osama over and over again until a kid pointed out how stupid their little joke was. The individual I met said : " What do we call him, then?" I said, "How about Mr. President?" She recoiled and I looked at her and said that I was going to vote for Mr. Obama.. she responded "I hate you". She does. Since I do not share her political views, she does hate me. My son was attending a party in Kansas this weekend and was told by a former Marine that a vote for Obama is an act of treason. I realize that this is only two people, but it what is going on in our country. If you are not in lock step with how people think, they do hate you. There is too much of this and it is hurting our country.. people who hold political views different from yours are not demons they are not evil. This idea that the other side is total evil is a dangerous one.. hate and prejudice are alive and well and active in this country. So go right ahead hate me because I intend to vote of Mr. Obama it does nothing whatsoever to me or to Mr. Obama, but it does damage this country and its future.
